This is the kind of Nike archive pull we love. The Air Max Ecstasy Plus brings back the Air Max 2000, an Alpha Project-era runner that has spent more than 25 years largely forgotten, and gives it another shot for 2026.
The Silver and Navy treatment feels appropriately turn-of-the-millennium, with a layered technical upper sitting over the shoe’s distinctive Air Max tooling. It’s futuristic, a little strange and very much from the period when Nike Running design was getting experimental. Exactly the kind of shoe that deserves another look.
